The Innovation Commission for Climate Change, Food Security, and Agriculture joined the event “The Business of Technology Adoption: Evidence from Research and Reality” on December 17, 2025 in London. The event, organized by British International Investment (BII) and and Private Enterprise Development in Low-Income Countries Initiative (PEDL), the Private Sector Development Research Network (PSDRN), and the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), brought researchers and practitioners together to share insights on the challenges and opportunities in climate technology adoption across Africa and Asia.
Joshua Deutschmann, a member of the Innovation Commission Secretariat, joined a panel on how agricultural innovations can help communities adapt to climate change. He shared evidence on asset-collateralized loans (ACLs) for farmers, a financial innovation identified by the Innovation Commission.
